Alesia is home to people have the ability to morph into the creatures of the wild. Among them is Nannuq, a 20 year old who has lost all memory of his childhood and is terrorized by the dreams of his past. With his companion Kiki, a six foot tall white wolf, he trains vigorously to protect the village that he calls home from any harm that might come its way. One afternoon, after he has returned from a month of training to control the creature from within, Nannuq finds out that an injured stranger has been taken in by the village healer.
