Kae is one of the few successful experiments to
be injected with the Canine serum. While others suffered tortuous deaths or the
loss of their minds, leaving them mindless beasts, Kae was instead able to hold
on to her sanity and push past the pain. But that doesn’t make her any less of
a beast. Kae still has her animal instincts, and no matter how much she tries
to deny it, Kae is still an animal inside. Scientists torture Kae to see how
she reacts, snap her bones to see how fast they heal, drive her insane to
observe her. Surviving the serum made it no less painful.
