A broken man stumbles upon love for the first time- a love that burns fiercely and he can't bring himself to walk away...

"I'm the moth and you're the flame and I've been drawn to you from the very moment I laid eyes on you," I whispered while gently stroking her knuckles with my thumb. "I know I'll get burned but I can't seem to look away."
"Doesn't that scare you? Don't you have the common sense enough to be afraid that I'll hurt you?"she snaps, yanking her hand away from mine. "I've never been good for you Jessie." She plops down on the porch with her head in her hands.
"Maybe you're right." Her head snaps up to look at me, red curls protesting against the sudden movement of her head and I continue. "Maybe I should be scared but I'm not. And maybe that lack of fear makes me an idiot, but I don't care. I've seen plenty fires in my day: started plenty of them and watched them flicker and die out just the same. But I've never seen a fire as beautiful as you, never seen one burn so bright. I want to smolder with you Autumn. I want to smolder in your heat forever."

The Kiss That Changed Everything by Ilovewatchingnothing

Our childhood was a masterpiece of laughter and adventure - until puberty painted a new reality. We were the dynamic duo of our neighborhood, inseparable partners in crime. Summers danced with fireflies and midnight secrets shared in woods behind our houses. Winters warmed with hot chocolate and snowball fights that left us breathless. Our bond seemed woven with unbreakable threads - until high school unraveled everything. Your sixteenth year birthday party still echoes in my mind like a haunting melody. Alcohol flowed like truth serum, and our inhibitions dissolved like sugar in water. Then, the moment that shattered our friendship's innocence: our lips collided in a soft, bewildering kiss. Your eyes searched mine for answers I didn't have. My heart thundered in my chest like a confession. We fled the scene like criminals - and avoided each other ever since. Countless nights I've relived that kiss, wondering what you felt in that moment. Did my lips spark something real, or was it just alcohol-fueled curiosity? The not knowing gnaws at me like a restless spirit. Now we're juniors, and fate seems determined to collide our worlds again. Mutual friends push us together, oblivious to the tension simmering between us like a slow-burning flame. School hallways feel like battlefields where we exchange fleeting glances instead of bullets. I notice everything - the way your hair curls slightly at the nape of your neck, your bright smile when talking to others (but not me), the faint scent of your cologne lingering in empty spaces you once occupied. Do we dare confront the kiss that blurred the lines of our friendship - or keep pretending that night was just a drunken illusion?

HIGHEST RANK- #1 in Crush #2 in Paranormal For a moment he just sits there watching me with amused eyes, a smirk playing on his lips. Suddenly he stands up and walks forward until he's only inches from my body. Our faces so close that I can actually see the small sliver flecks in his eyes as they shimmer. "Wha-what are you doing?" I stutter my voice coming out as a breathless whisper. He breathes out. His breath fanning across my face, it smells of peppermint with a hint of orange. I shiver at the feeling. Sending a sensation that's equally as phenomenal as it is terrifying down my body. He leans in just a little closer so that our noses are almost touching. I stare up into his eyes, unsure of what to do. I feel frozen in place, like I can't move, like maybe I don't want to. "Time to seal it with a kiss" he suggests with a smirk. 🔹🔹🔹 Bethany Hibbler has a secret that she has kept from everyone. For 17 years Bethany has never told anybody that she can read minds. 《Book 1 of "His" Series.》 "Come on, Firefly. Stop eating that," I said, half amused and half exasperated. But instead of listening, she walked over to me, holding the jar out with a determined look on her face. "You should put it on your lips too. You'll like it!" I raised an eyebrow. "No. I'm not doing that, Firefly." She pouted, stepping closer. "Come on, just once," she insisted, dipping her finger into the tiny jar and attempting to smear it on my lips. I caught her wrist, grinning as an idea struck me. "You really want me to taste it that badly?" I asked, my voice dropping a notch. "Yes!" she said, her enthusiasm masking the mischief in my tone. I leaned in slightly, lowering my voice further. "Alright then, you asked for it, Firefly." Before she could comprehend my words, I tilted her chin up and captured her lips with mine. The kiss wasn't soft or tentative-it was deliberate, consuming. My lips pressed firmly against hers, moving slowly but with intent. As I kissed her, the faint sweetness of the strawberry flavor mingled with something even better-the natural taste of her lips. She was breathless by the time I pulled away, her cheeks flushed, her eyes wide and dazed. I smirked, brushing my thumb gently over her now swollen lips. "You're right, Firefly," I murmured, my voice low and teasing. "The strawberry flavor is good. But your lips? They're even better." ⭐ Tropes ⭐: _______________ ✨ Arranged Marriage ❤️ 👩‍❤️‍👨 Elder Daughter × Younger Son 💍 💖 Kind, Sensitive & Strong FMC 🔥 Rude but captivated by her & "Touch Her and Die" MMC 💞 Spicy & Intense Romance 🌞 Grumpy × Sunshine Vibes - A love story where fate binds them, sparks fly, and hearts collide! 💫❤️‍🔥 ___________________ Start: 15/12/2024 End: 13/06/2025

Blaze White is the New Girl at the Prep school in her mothers old home town. But her only goal for senior year is to keep a low profile, no friends, no parties and NO boys. Axel may be adored and worshipped by his peer-but he hates people, except 5. So when a beautiful but closed off girl suddenly enters his group. He is not welcoming of the mysterious beauty despite the pull they both feel. •••• WARNING: This was written many moons ago. I have decided to put it back up because of a large request from readers. However, I was a kid when I wrote this so take it with a grain of salt. *** Like a deer in head lights, I freeze and watch as the car comes towards me expecting to get hit. But to my surprise, the car swerves to the side slightly next to me and comes to a stop. I take a deep breath I didn't know I was holding at the driver's side door swings open and a very pissed off Axel steps out. "Thank god," I mumble and place my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "Blaze?" He says and I hate it. I hate how he says my name as if it's his. Like he knows it's the only thing I want to hear, him calling out to me, looking at me, focused to me. It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."

C O M P L E T E D "Date me," he spins the whiskey around in the glass and fixes me with a smirk. I roll my eyes the moment the words roll off his tongue. "Are you really that desperate?" I scoff in response, fighting back the ever prominent blush. His smirk widens as my face flushes red and he leans over the countertop towards me. I step back. "Name your price," he replies, his words cool and smooth like ice cream. Only I would reference food at a moment like this. Anger rolls around in the pit of my stomach; I may not have money but I have morals. "You can't buy people, Grant," The words fall out of my mouth and he recoils as if slapped. I'm glad. Stupid rich boy and his player ways. "Bet I can," I resist the urge to slap the smug look of his face and scoff again. "Right," I drag out the word, rolling my eyes. I step away from the counter and turn my back on him, desperate to leave. But he speaks again. "Date me. Two months. If you fall for me for my money, I win. If I fall for you for who you really are, you win." I consider this for a moment. I have nothing to loose and really not much to gain. But I'm so desperate to put the asshole in his place that I can't resist. I'm a sucker for a bet. "Deal."
