This is not a happy story. A boy fails to save a girl. For his efforts, they are both reincarnated into the worst of all worlds, AXIS MUNDI, a post-apocalyptic waste where the remnants of humanity survive in the ruins of the old civilization, hunting and being hunted by the ravenous nightmares that stalk the dead lands. This is a mercy, the GOD OF INTERVENTION, he who has called their souls into this world, tells them. This is their second chance at life, and in exchange, he asks one thing of them: to save this world, by killing the EVIL GOD OF ANNIHILATION at the far edge of the lands. Should they succeed, they are promised one thing: he will grant one wish--even if it is to return home and live anew. In this forsaken world, they are ALIVE AGAIN with a divine purpose.
