In this world (which is like our modern world) there are four levels of society: healers, regulars, Spell-casters, masters, and shifters. Each person is placed into their society based on their level of ability and "gift" that they are born with. Of course there needs to be someone in charge, but years ago having one person in charge ended extremely bad so now there is a Council. The Council is in charge of everything, they make the rules. The Council is made up of elected officials from each of the levels of their society. But spell-caster have a LOT of influence on what goes on. Ian was kidnapped at the age of 12. He was tortured for years and then dumped in a field with his memory wiped clean at the age of 18. He remembers everything up until the day he was kidnapped, and then now when he woke up in a field. The only memory he has of the time between is just pain and the feeling of his ribs knitting back together. He is discovered and taken to a hospital (he is covered in blood with what looked like battle wounds). He amazes the doctors with his ability to heal. In their world it is rare to see someone who can heal themselves. Since he doesn't have a memory, they call the local school for the "gifted". The headmistress comes and analyzes him: he has a high enough ability level to be placed in the school. So many things happen at this school, he finds his older brother, finds out his parents are dead, he meets a girl willing to join him to find out what really is going on at this school and behind each society. He is so curious to find out what happened to him and why he can't remember. Powers start to show themselves that even the wisest didn't know existed. Ian Red is going down a dangerous path. Will he get the answers he is looking for or end up killing himself and those close to him?

We think and we expect! We do this both a lot and without these there is not much to do. Will there be any action without expecting a future from it? If so, then that is amazing. However, it is not in most people's worlds. And mainly in four people's world who had this vivid description of expectations for their futures, but ended up with another vivid unexpected futures. Everything was simple from the beginning in their own perspectives, but it was not from the beginning in real sense and it keeps on moving far away from simple with each moment and in the end turns the lives upside down but not the four people's because one of them got what they want but still went with the flow like an innocent. With that confusion, misconceptions arise and secrets will be revealed along with a clearance of misunderstandings and what not. It all seems to be too much of a trap, but what can anyone do when they really got trapped by the destiny or is it something else. All this can either be described as "What is meant to be always finds a way" or as "Karma is really a bitch"... Let's see what can be the perfect description...
