This is a saying that Edward Grenore, aka Add, must learn the hard way when he loses everything to the greed and unfairness of war. However, Add also loses an important source of his happiness, his mother. Broken with the losses he experienced, he vows to return to the time he once felt happiness in. He sets on a long adventure, ventures into several realms, meets, fights, and befriends several divine entities, all while gathering materials necessary for his experiments; all to bring back the happiness he once lost.
