Alicia and Devon are the epitome of a sundae. Devon is the irresistibly sweet, oh-so-charming vanilla ice cream at the base, and Alicia is the warm, rich chocolate sauce drizzled on top. The banana is their relationship as a whole, and the whip cream represents their sugary conversations. But what is a sundae without the cherry on top?
The cherry on top for Alicia and Devon was nonexistent for a long time. While sitting out, waiting for this final touch, things got tough for the two. Devon started getting angry over the smallest of things, melting like any ice cream would. Alicia's feelings for him began to dry out, just like the cooling hard chocolate shell over Devon.
However, when the new guy strolls into school with his boyish charm and adventurous spirit, Alicia finds their cherry on top. Or, at least, her cherry on top. Because by the time Alicia first talks to Conner Gary, Devon is too far gone in the melted process, he breaks up with her through text.
