"M- Mads?!" He stuttered, eyebrows furrowed in confusion, as he took slow steps towards me as if I was a strange creature he was afraid to approach.
"Hey, Alex." I smiled brightly at him, the sight of him after just a few days making me happy.

"I can answer all those questions later, but now I have something I came to tell you." I took a step towards him to close the rest of the space left between us.
"And what would that be?" He enquired.
"First off, congrats for winning the game. You killed it." I smiled at him and he returned it, showing his dimples, "And second off, I came to tell you that I love you." I added, feeling like my heart was going to explode right out of my chest.
"You what?" He gaped at me.
"I love you. I love you so fucking much it hurt not to tell you sooner. I've loved you for so long but didn't realize it until I was about to lose my first kiss to someone I had no feelings for. I'm so deeply in love with you and I'm sorry for not saying it back the night of my birthday when you said it first." I told him, looking down ashamed.
Lifting my chin up with his fingers to look at him, Alex said, "You have nothing to be sorry for, Mads. Having you say it after all was worth the wait. And I'm so deeply, blindly and crazily in love with you too." He gave me his dimpled smile before leaning down to crash his lips on mine.
