''You don't know me?'' he asked me with the same soft voice. ''How could I?'' I yelled, struggling even harder. ''Let m-me go!'' My voice started to crack. I was breathing harder with each passing second and I was fighting to keep my eyes open. My chest started to hurt. The man caught me and snuggled me to his chest. Pedro is a 16 mexican/White boy in a messed up situation. He's living off a two- dollar job, he's an orphan, dirt poor barely making enough to feed himself. To top it all off, he's a teen dad. He has a 2 year old son named Jaun who's mother dropped him off to Pedro and never returned. All Pedro wants to do is play Basketball and make it to the NBA but instead has to turn to the streets. Tiara is your average rich bratty teenager. Her dad owns two major plaza's, Has his own stock company, and is funding a major ,NBA team. Everyone judges her and tell her she just another spoiled little rich black girl who's parents made it out of the hood-where she is so desprate to fit in. What happens when Pedro and Tiara meet? Love at first site? Or are they just using eachother to get closer to their dreams? ***i wrote this series when i was super young in like high-school/middle school (2013-2017)but its always gotten a-lot of traction. I Still Think of You When it Rains
Some of this timeline has less detail than the rest, but I have better memory of things that have happened in the past year than I remember things that happened six and seven years ago. My memory is faulty, but so is yours. I don't remember every second of everything that happened, but I do have many memories that I still cherish, even if you don't remember them. PROLOGUE A small boy lies curled up in his bed, trying to hide himself. The screams and shouts of his parents echoed throughout the empty, cold house. A small toddler girl, snuggled in his arms, fusses in her sleep. A loud crash, followed by a cry of pain, makes the boy flinch and tear up. He pulls the baby girl close and covers his ears. 'Dad is hurting mom again' The boy cries softly, so as not to be heard, weeping at the unfairness of the world. Hours later, his bedroom door opens, and a soft hand touches his cheek. "Ian, my baby boy, I've got to go for a while, ok?" A woman's voice calls softly. The boy sits up, wiping his tears. "How long will you be gone?" The boy sniffles. "Mom is going to live with Uncle Sam for a while, just so she can make dad's company bigger. Make sure you take good care of Naomi. Don't forget to clean up after yourself, and get good grades in school." The boy's mother ruffles his hair and kisses him on the cheek. "I love you buddy. I'll be back in a few years. I know that sounds like a long time but, I'll be back before you know it. I just have to make dad happy." The boy nods, refusing to cry. 'I have to protect Naomi.
