In order to protect his friends, Yamaguchi accepted a proposal from the tyrant price, Daishou. Something is wrong in the Slithering Isles, though, and war seems imminent. Yamaguchi sets out alone to try and prevent disaster, but to what ends is he willing to go? Meanwhile, Tsukishima receives a mysterious letter stating that Yamaguchi, and the continent as a whole, are in grave danger. The Nekarasi crew gets back together to save their friend from an untimely demise. Their journies dig up uncomfortable pasts, bring to light new corruption, and, against all odds, draw Yamaguchi and Tsukishima ever closer together.
