Nicole has to face her deepest fear, her literal cloned self who's inexplicably banging the monster they spent all of book 1 killing, and the only solution is that someone has to sacrifice their life for the good of the others, and this time they have to fight a god to do it. Ancient evil rises to shows it's true form, a corrupt shadow government breaks down, the gods cannot help you anymore, and Nicole once again faces a unique problem...what the hell to do with the other Nicole. Evil doppelganger, lost soul just trying to fit in, or the only friend who truly understands her?
