Rose is a girl with many problems. Death one of them.
After both her parents die in a plane crash, she's forced to go live with a long lost cousin in California.
For rose this is a quite different environment not only because the change in weather, but because she doesn't know any of the people she's going to live with.

As she starts a new school, she's the new girl that gets all the attention in the small town of brooks. Soon, the schools player, Jack Gilinsky takes an interest in her. But she doesn't have much interest in him.
