Rose Desrick and Logan Haglon have been side by side since the very beginning. Of course the usual drift occurred during the middle school years, but they still know each other better than most of their close friends.
Coming back from the new year with a semester switch, they end up with three out of seven classes together.
While remembering all that they had, and realizing all that they wasted, this semester and summer will change their view on just about everything.
"And what if I do?" He whispers.
"You won't" I manage.
I feel his fingertips travel all across my back. Barley even grazing it, yet with such purpose.
Before I even realize what's happening it already has. He hesitantly takes a hold of my jaw and uses his free hand to pull me in by the waist.
He delivers just the softest, tiniest, inkling of a kiss to my lips.
And with that, such a small gesture, history has been undone.
