Carry On

When the world first became exposed to Covid 19 it was thought that it was like the Flu or Common cold. The population was soon under quarantine, then states began going into shutdown and people began losing their jobs. The world thought the Virus would just simply pass, weeks became months, months became years, but it showed no signs of stopping. Little did people know, a simple Flu-like virus mutated and became much worse than anybody could even fathom.

The virus started changing the people it infected, it started with a severe fever and chills, then after a few hours the body would shut down and the infected person seemed to have passed. The infected corpses would soon rise again, becoming violent. The government tried to contain it, keep it hidden away, but things got out of hand and despite the government's attempts to control it, the infection spread like wildfire, and the world started falling apart.

Ember was a twenty-six-year-old woman working her typical nine to five job before the virus came along. After everything started going to hell, Ember went to find her parents to get them all to safety. Unfortunately, her parents had been exposed and they were already gone... Ember had to go on her own. A year into the apocalypse, Ember had to survive on her own against hunger and swarms of infected people. Will Ember ever find somewhere safe or will she succumb to the dangers of the new world?
