This is my first Pokemon Fan-fiction, and it acts as the "Pilot episode". There will be a full series coming out if this prologue is successful. If not...well, game over.

2. The following fan-fiction is an AU combining elements from the original Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald game lore and Pokemon Advanced anime lore. 
3.The characters' names are all in Romanized Japanese, like Ash is Satoshi, Brock is Takeshi, May is Haruka, Max is Masato, and Dawn is Hikari (p.s: for Brendan, I changed his name to Ryu instead of Yuuki, since this is an AU).

Summary: The World Championship Series have begun. Follow Ash as he goes through a new stretch of his journey where he will have to uncover the mystery behind the newly formed Neo Team Rocket and how is newly met companion ties with them. This is an AU in which Ash is not the same as the Ash we know from the anime. He hasn't traveled with his companions and he is mostly cold hearted. As such, he is more independent and significantly better at battling than he is in the anime. Furthermore, he essentially has the same Pokemon that he does in the anime. Ash has just lost in the Indigo League, due to his Charizard's disobedience. As he and Pikachu are thinking things over by a lake, they are sure in for a nasty surprise. Betrayal.
