What happened in 1999?

The acts of that year are something that friends Ted and Schlatt want to keep secret at any cost.

But when a determined reporter known only by the alias of "Slimecicle" begins to find his way to the heart of the mystery, the pair may have no other option than to eliminate him.

Neither Slimecicle or the pair know how close they are to eachother when the duo adds a new friend, Charlie, to their group.

Schlatt tells him his friends never repaid him so he has to take something else other then pay: their life since they value it as much as Schlatt values pay. Since Travis was looking for an adventure, Schlatt gives him the task to kill off his friends and bring back their heart/soul back to him.
