This book is about a girl, Almire Veritri, who was attacked by a wolf, she survived with a miracle. She bears a scar on her face, a reminder of the terrible night. Since then, Almire has been called Wolf-Kissed. They take it as a sign, a blessing, or a special marking of honor from the God Athili the Wolfs Voice and Fang. Ever since this night she has hallucinated of a mighty wolf, which varies in color, in dangerous or hard situations. Is this a gift from their God? Or a curse? Is she being punished for the wrongdoings of her family or is she being aided?
