Set after the fight with Upper Moon 6.
Tanjirou has recovered from the battle and is soon sent back out into the battle field for a mission along side Kanao where the two encounter a nightmarish opponent.
Eventually the two demon slayer's goals shift from killing to surviving.
All the while, Shinobu and Giyuu struggle to find their students and bring them home safely.

Giyu Tomioka the water pillar, is told to go up the mountain to search for a demon. Giyu arrives a bit later and finds a red headed boy named Tanjiro. The boy tells him about his family being attacked. Giyu then trains the boy to become a demon slayer. Tanjiro and Giyu become much closer and they now trust one another. One day Giyu is sent to the mountains to kill a demon who is strong but not enough to be an upper rank. Giyu goes and doesn't return for days. Tanjiro is then called to the master's mansion for a meeting and is told that since he is the closest to Giyu he must go and try to find Giyu. Tanjiro then goes as he is told. As he climbs the mountains to find Giyu, the air becomes thicker and he is struggling to breathe. After struggling he finally finds Giyu, who is unconscious on the ground. He looks strange. This is my first story This story is an AU kny, if you haven't watched or read the manga i really suggest you do before reading this. And this story will have spoilers for those who haven't finished kny. Instead of tanjiro going down the hill, it was nezuko who goes down to sell charcoal. And kanae is still alive i refuse to let her die and she will be the one who trains nezuko in breath of flowers with kanao. Tanjiro gets turned into a demon but he doesnt serve muzan. And tanjiro is trained by kokushibo, also known as upper moon 1 who is also beginning to rebel against muzan but he has kept it hidden. If you don't like the story, then don't read it!
