One drink, one mistake. One is filled with guilt, while the other is distraught after finding out devastating news her husband is oblivious to until after the tragedy. Each questions their life as it flashes before their eyes. Happy birthday they would usually say though there isn't much happy about this.

Strong Enough
I know I have two unfinished stories and I'm starting yet another. Please forgive me, I'm stuck in a fog with those two and this idea has been kicking around in my head for about a week. It's going to be dark, much darker than what I normally write. I've also outlined it more than I have ever done with my other stories. Usually, I just write it as I go (which explains frequent episodes of writers block) and never really know for sure where the story will end up. This time I'm making sure I get it right. Now for what this is about. Of course it's Burzek! Though, it takes place during the beginning of their relationship and they are keeping it on the 'DL', that's about it as far as it being similar to the show. Fair warning, the language will be harsh and there will be violence and it may be hard to read. That's all I'm giving you, you'll have to read it.... Broken Man, Broken Woman
Jay Halstead was a 3rd Battalion 75t. Ranger regiment in Afghanistan before becoming a detective for Chicago PD's Intelligence Unit. He lead the tour with a woman named Isabella Luzcando who was a ranger with Jay and between the two of them they lead the team flawlessly. They also had this tension between them even though they got along but always had feelings for the other but never expressed it. Also Isabella's father was their general which was a line Jay was not allowed to cross. When Jay got discharged it was the saddest day for Jay and Isabella. They lost touch now with the Chicago PD Intelligence Unit there is a major case that they need help to solve and who comes with her team to help none other than Isabella. There has been so much time between them and they both are used to doing things their own way it causes tension and old feelings to stir up. * I own nothing in the Dick Wolf and One Chicago World.
