Rune mages are rare and frankly everyone knows rune mages don't usually survive the training required to become a sanctioned mage. Rouge mages are hunted and killed. Logan Lofe is determined to finish the mage training as top mage, despite being a rune mage and limited to runes.

But his success comes at a high price even he can't predict. In a battle of him against an army, will his rune magic be enough?

You might enjoy this story if you like first person narratives, like magic and (possibly overpowered) underdogs who may or may not gradually become less stable as the story goes on. 

If you're looking for a lot of descriptions of physical characteristics of characters or land or buildings... I'm not great at that and as a reader I prefer making my own descriptions. Feel free to leave ideas.

As you might imagine, the connection from one world to another isn't ideal. But if they can make it work, there's a chance to return Phoenix and the rest of the infected back to life.

Alia attends a school for those with magic despite not actually having any magic. She does, however, have the ability to read runes, an ability no one else has. And this often brings about problems. Author's Note: I won't be continuing this story, however it does sort of have an ending if you do wish to read it.
