"Ever heard of the phrase 'the dead don't have a voice'? A lot of people think that way. Especially the murderers."

Medical examiner, Christian Jenkins, newest hire of the Phoenix Ridge Memorial Hospital is many things. He's intelligent, far beyond average standards: troubled by his traumatic past, in hiding, and good at his job. The most problematic of Christian's traits for the Phoenix Ridge Police Department is his habit of ending up in the wrong place at the wrong time, and his need to uphold his duty to the dead.
After discovering something he shouldn't have, in order to keep his findings away from the shady police who he believes purposefully alter the cause of death on his autospy reports, Christian associates with the mafia for protection.
