"The Lord of Lorien looked at his wife - her thoughts were hidden behind her smooth, shimmering face. For once he could not guess what she was thinking. 'Galadriel - you have foreseen the brothers' death should they return to Mirkwood. But you know as well as I do that keeping them here might only extend their lifespan for perhaps a few hundreds of years, if at all. Dark times are coming, you can feel it. The chances are they will never see the Undying Lands in the West.' - The Lady of the Golden Wood looked right through him. 'One must never give up hope.'"

When Haldir of Mirkwood and his brothers Rumil and Orophin are sent to deliver a message to Lothlórien, he expected to return within a mere couple of weeks' time. Yet the plans of the Lady are different and before he can turn around he is trapped in a forest completely different to the one he has grown up in.
Adding to his confusion is the young elf Daera (pronounced: DaEra) who is clearly interested in Haldir yet she still has to fight her own demons. And her time to pick sides is running out...

This story is set before and during the actions of The Hobbit and The War of the Rings.
I might publish this story in GERMAN as well, so German readers, keep you eyes peeled!

This is an xReader for feminine persons, and it involves a ton of inspiration from Dark Souls, so yeah, if you're reading this and thinking; "Izalith? Isn't that the witch from that one game?"- to that I say, yes it is. I'm a huge geek for that trilogy... Also this is based off both the book AND movies. I'm hoping to capture quality realism in this book, since I never read a fanfic that feels genuine or authentic in the way characters would act, or speak. My writing isn't used to formality, imma try my best to make it sound like Middle Earth speech, but if you see any mistakes, please for the love of Eru, point it out and give me advice!!!! Other than that, if you have any questions, ask on my feed, and I'll answer it on here (if it's a popular question). Prepare for deep lore and symbolism!! There's a reason for everything that happens in this book, and you are the main focus of it all. THANKS FOR READING!!! BYEE

Galadriel has seen more war in five years than most would experience in a lifetime. She and her brother, Finrod, commanded the Great War's most elite death squad: the Loriens. Together they completed untold thousands of missions, destroying some of the Enemy's most valuable strongholds and weapons. In the last crucial battle of the War, Finrod was killed by Sauron, an Enemy lieutenant of reputed cruelty on and off the battlefield. Morgoth was killed in the same battle, and the Loriens were sent home. Galadriel and her commandos were expected to re-assimilate with the civilian population. Galadriel has struggled to adapt for months; but with her brother gone and so many of the Enemy soldiers, including Sauron, at large, how can she put down the weapons that have kept her safe for so long? Halbrand finally makes his way north to take refuge in the great city of Lindon, where a chance encounter with a half-elf lord puts him directly into the path of Galadriel. He's done fighting. It's time to atone for his misdeeds. If his identity is exposed, can he make the person who matters most to him understand? The two journey to the Southlands, where an orc father is pursuing a secret of his own. What is Adar hunting? That's a lot of very dramatic questions for a single description. All that cinematic fluff aside, I hope you'll take a look at my original fiction piece, as it has cost me many brain cells and many hours of sleep. #2 in haladriel trying to get in the top 100 of the lordoftherings tag but I keep topping out really close to 100...one day...
