And so, when the morning sun rose over the mountains of carcasses and rubble, when the green capes fluttered in the wind for the last time, when they raised their hands in the final salute, and when finally the lone tear escaped her eye, surrounded by the bloodied corpses of her comrades, she promised to herself,
