After Elizabeth "Polly" Gray's children were taken away and she took over taking care of her nephews and niece she was given custody to another baby after her childhood best friend, Clementina passed away. 

Starlene Gray is the light in the Shelby family's lives. She is very wise for her young age and never gets into trouble. Unaware of being adopted her life all comes crashing down. 

Will Polly be able to mend the broken mother-daughter relationship, or has she once again lost another child?
