A dad who provides for his loved ones, a mom who cares for everyone and two kids who are learning the way of life. Then there was a key, a key that changed everyone and everything, because as we all know happiness doesn't last forever.

It wasn't a question but I answered anyway "Of course. They are family." "What if they don't feel the same way?" "Then that's understandable. They had their trust broken at a very early age by the people who were supposed to protect and love them. I have been very open with them and have told them several times that they are family to me now. I have also said that if they don't feel the same then that's okay.
