She reads out into a microphone "The human soul name bliss, female, age 24, death unknown, and sin unknown." She pauses and looks at me then puts down my paper and speaks to the crowd "She doesn't remember anything about being alive so she is an oddity and a collectible. Shall we start the biding at 10000 hellions". All the sudden many voices shout out some low deep voices some high voices and some don't even sound like voices just gurgles. The woman who read my paper seems to be able to keep track and calls out the highest bidder. "Do I hear 65000?" Less voices shootout but they're still too many that I can't pick out. I'm being sold? Read to find out more. This is a romance supernatural book of my own making, its mine by copy right, all rights reserved! I also respond to almost all comments! We Are All Mistakes
[Think of it as Star Trek: First Contact meets The US Office - one chapter per day] If your parents ever said you were a mistake, well... so were they. And so were their parents. And so on - all the way back to a failed cosmic experiment that eventually kick-started a species capable of inventing nuclear weapons, influencer culture, and reality TV. Now Earth is circling the drain, and the Galactic Union has finally noticed. Their plan? Patch things up by inducting us into the wider universe - with the help of a misfiring Steering Committee and one extremely confused human abductee: Duke Kramer. Volunteering for a NASA black-ops program was meant to give Duke a purpose - offering the magic of alien contact. Instead, he's stuck in deep space learning that humanity may not be worth saving. While back here his friends are in a race to find him - dodging Elon-esque tech moguls who believe the coming salvation is their sole divine right. A darkly funny sci-fi satire about alien bureaucracy, the mess we've made of society, and whether it's ever too late to fix ourselves.

"Are you coming to bed firefly?" He says to me laying his hands over my waist joining me in looking over the city. "I want to look out for a little longer if that is alright?" I mumble hoping that he heard me anyways, I wasn't ready to walk into that bedroom, and I don't think I ever would be. "Of course, I'll be getting ready for bed, come in whenever you are ready." He says confidently and walks away leaving my waist cold something for which I am grateful. Especially when my mind burns with other more dangerous thoughts. The warmth that forever lingers in the air, never burning the skin, but always reminding about what is around us. I force air into my lungs feeling the unexpected warmth fill me. He stands in the room watching me even though he said he was getting ready for bed. He is worried about me, about me jumping. I have contemplated it I will admit, but he would stop me before I fell even two feet. I was stuck, and no one could save me. Not even myself, my fucking weak self. His presence is demanding no matter where we are, but right now I could sense everything about him, and I try to suppress the unwanted feelings that curl right under my skin. "Firefly? About done?" He calls out and I release my hand from the guard rail not realizing that as I looked at the lights that covered the shining city with the falling fire in the background that my subconscious was thinking about how nice it would be... how relieving it would be... to just fall. True freedom. I take a step back and wrap my hands together turning around to a fully clothed unchanged man and nod once. I could see the fear in his eyes that I would, he knows if he gave me the chance... I wasn't ready for this, but I had to survive. No matter what. His servants knock on the door, and with a snap, he locks it tight. You feel one of his fangs trace the thin of your skin and you jolt. He smirks. "And yet you saw the unbelievable and still dealed with me. You brave, sexy little thing," He picks you up by the thighs and walks you to the bed that he's now snapped a black comforter onto before throwing you onto it. Just as you catch your breath, chains appear around your ankles and wrists as he traces kisses up your shin. You watch him crawl up your thigh just before catching a glimpse of the tribal pentagram on your hip that glows the closer he gets to it. "You're mine now, Kaya." WARNING: This story is HOT!
