This takes place right before the events of the movie. You moved to Encanto when you were 10, because your 5th grade class was doing a project about cities in different countries. You chose Encanto, a place in Columbia. The only problem was, your 9 year old brother needed to stay home, your parents had to work and they couldn't take time off so they made an arrangement with a friend for you to live with their 22 year old daughter Charity. She lived in Encanto since she was 18, you would only be staying for a week, so Charity said yes. After she flew to California to meet you and pick you up, you both flew to Encanto, little did you know, you would be staying there for 4 more years because you didn't want to leave.

One of the reasons you didn't want to leave is because of the Madrigals. A family with magical gifts. One particular Madrigal stood out to you, he's never noticed you, at least that's what you thought.
