Hope Mikaelson who recently broke up with Josie saltzman has a familiar face from her childhood show up in mystic falls, Stella Farrington. She is desperate for shelter after her family was killed. She is a very powerful witch who they all soon find out that she is more than what she appears. She gets in a accident and kills people who tried to attack her, revealing that she is also part werewolf. The first of her kind. Hope and Stella eventually fall in love. Stella gets a note from her family's killer, and seeks help from Josie. In order for them to take down her family's killer, Josie will have to take on black magic, and Hope has to become the tribrid. They eventually take down the killer but not without a catastrophe. Will Hope and Stella be able to live happily together, or will something break them apart?
