At this point, you may be thinking, 'ugh, this is just like every other story' due to the title. Well, that's where you may or may not be wrong. In this story, Carla was a normal girl: going to school, doing her homework, etc. That all changed when her parents came home with her new baby brother, Caleb. She noticed that her parents never treated her as well as they're treating Caleb, which got her sad almost immediately. Who could blame her, right? Once you find out your parents never really loved you as much as your brother, well that makes you think long and hard about things, like why they never really loved you, what you did to make them treat you like this. Not to mention, she was best friends with Matthew Espinosa since they could remember. Her mom and his mom were best friends since high school, all the way through collage, up until 4 years ago, when something tragic happened. Carla is now 14, she was 10 when it happened and her brother was only 7. You see, she never was the popular kind, and didn't want to be. She thinks it causes more drama. This, plays a huge role in the occurrences. Things tragically changed after the unfortunate event.
