Blood Moon: A Story Before the Calamity
Spoiler alert for this entire book! If you have not completed the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this story will reveal the entire storyline of this game. Also some parts of the other Zelda games as well. **** Two people, both crippled by grief and both struggling with great expectations. Two people, but seventeen and still older than Hyrule itself. Two people, who will grow to rely on each other, torn apart by the final ruination. The blood moon rises... The shadow of the Calamity rises over the kingdom of Hyrule, rearing its terrible head, tearing apart all that stands in its way. The deadline was hanging over the head of the citizens who depend on the success of a powerless girl and the mettle of a simply talented boy. The full Triforce shall collide once more, and when it does, are they courageous enough to overcome the own demons that haunt them and stand firm against the evil ahead? Hey everyone! There will be quite a lot of angst so if you're not okay with that, then please don't read my book. There will be rather graphic descriptions of war and battles, and self-harm and depression will trigger some of you, but there are no sexual scenes, nor swearing. Basically, Link is a boy who has brothers. And their names? Link. Which Link am I talking about? I don't know, they're all Link. This is mostly cute and fluffy brotherly interactions between the Links, plus some ridiculous things and humor and small adventures. Turning more and more into slice of life stuff by day, which I'm slightly disappointed at because I'm aiming for cutesy things. But hey, I still enjoy writing it so why not. As I usually say, good stuff are good when they're good. And when they're not? He's the hero, he should be alive. I miss him so much. (Y/n) has remained alive for 100 years. One hundred painstaking years. Each year that ticks by, she has no idea why she lives. "Princess!" he yelled after her. "Where are you going?" "Back to the castle," she replied without stopping. "Not by yourself you're not!" "I'm sorry,"-she whipped around-"I didn't realize you were my father?" "Your father, the king, would execute me for letting you travel by yourself." "Oh, so this is about self-preservation?" "Yes. Yours. There are monsters all over Hyrule now, Your Highness." Blue eyes pointedly looked her up and down. "And by the looks of it, you're not equipped to handle that." She mirrored his scrutiny and scoffed. "What, and you are?" She gestured to the cairns beyond the trees. "Are you going to protect me as well as you protected them?" Calamity is upon Hyrule. The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of outright failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe. Devotion, heartbreak, inadequacy. Faith, perseverance, and courage. This is a story of finding what lies within.
