At the moment of his death, Wei Wuxian is sent back in time.  He wakes up in the Cold Spring of Cloud Recesses during the time when he was there to study.  Traumatized and exhausted Wei Wuxian attempts to end his life, only to be stopped by Lan Wangji.  At the same time Wen Qing awakens in Cloud Recesses with the memory of being burned to death in Koi Tower.  She is determined to ensure that this time she is able to protect her family, Wei Wuxian included.

This is part 1 of Backlash.
This story will include canon and non-canon relationships. This will have a happy ending for Wangxian.
