At the moment of his death, Wei Wuxian is sent back in time. He wakes up in the Cold Spring of Cloud Recesses during the time when he was there to study. Traumatized and exhausted Wei Wuxian attempts to end his life, only to be stopped by Lan Wangji. At the same time Wen Qing awakens in Cloud Recesses with the memory of being burned to death in Koi Tower. She is determined to ensure that this time she is able to protect her family, Wei Wuxian included.

The Healers can't detect his Golden Core because of the mass of resentful energy swirling through his dantians and meridians. In an effort to save his life, Lan WangJi begs the Jiang siblings to allow him to take Wei WuXian back to Gusu. Reluctantly, they agree; the tranquility of Cloud Recesses will aid his healing far more than working to restore Lotus Pier will. Wei WuXian is not so sure that being GusuLan's prisoner is the better choice. The Jade And Yiliang Take Over The Cultivation World
Wei Ying had long ago mastered a dark art. One which, should any fond out, would put a target on his back. When the Jiang's took him in, he made sure that it was never used in their presence. He already got enough hate as it were without them knowing he could literally destroy everything they held dear with a mere whistle. Everything was fine, until he was forced to go to the Cloud Recesses with Jiang Cheng. That was when complications arose. After all, how could he keep things hidden from the Two Jades of Lan? Especially after the disaster one night, which ended in him hiding from Jiang Cheng. Notes *Jiang Cheng has a really bad temper, and I don't think they showed a realistic ideal with how short tempered he is, so he isn't bad, but he does get violent *In this, Wei Ying already entered the burial mounds before the Jiangs collected him.
