(Contains: abuse mention, angst, confrontation, toxic ex (not Dabi), Dabi taking care of the problem without telling you, Dabi identity spoiler, snarky Dabi, s/o isn't actually present but mentioned) A small, single puff of smoke wafted up into the cold autumn night air. Dabi watched as it dissipated, slightly comforted by the fact that it came from his cigarette, rather than his own singed skin. He knew you wouldn't be happy with him if you found him smoking again, but honestly, you wouldn't be happy with him if you found him here at all. Luckily for him, you were sound asleep back at the League hideout. He knew you and your sleep pattern well enough to be confident that he could come over here, do what he had to do, and make it back to bed before you noticed he was gone. Then he'd just have to make sure you didn't notice the elevated scent of smoke radiating off of him. Dabi stood in the shadows of the alleyway beside your house, cerulean eyes trained on the fire escape ladder that led to what used to be your apartment. It had been a week or two since he'd been here. He'd helped you move out in a rush, packing as many boxes as possible into the back of his stolen car before bringing you back to the hideout where you'd be safe. With all of the grief he'd seen you endure here he wasn't too fond of coming back, but tonight he was here on business. If all went well, he'd be here another half hour at the most before leaving this place behind for good- and returning to you so you two could start your life over together. It was 1:00 am, right on the dot- that creep lurked out of the darkness to slink towards the fire escape. Touya knew he'd be here- he'd been here every night for the past three months- but actually seeing him here in person made his blood boil. All Rights Reserved
