Catharsis (noun) : /kəˈθɑːsɪs/ ; the process of releasing, and thereby providing relief from, strong or repressed emotions.
We all have our own escapes.
Escapes from this dark, dreary world which gets too suffocating sometimes. Whenever we are in desperate need of a release from these terrible, predatory emotions and securities; we turn to do whatever we enjoy doing the most.
The one thing that makes us feel untroubled and contended.
For me, it has always been writing poems. Weaving my feelings into words is a challenge; a challenge I enjoy and want to pursue whole-heartedly for my entire life.
So come along with me in the journey of healing, through the process of catharsis.

Trapped. Surrounded on all sides by an overpowering barrier visible only to you. A barrier consisting of your thoughts, your dreams, your hopes, separating you from the rest of the world. Thoughts struggling to escape, the memories vivid in your head. You're trying to push back the flood of emotion, trying to break down that wall that's separating you from the judgement that awaits you at the other side. Your fears captivate you and morph you into a new person entirely. Surrounded on all sides and breaking into cold perspiration. Enveloping you is that same fear, gripping at your heart. You stand still hoping for the storm to back down, hoping for another chance. Sooner or later you're faced with reality and you'll know there's no turning back. The feeling of being unheard, unloved, and misunderstood. The flooding wishes to be treated as a breathing human being, all written in a piece of crumbled paper.
