Recover.
It's something everyone eventually has to do.
For the sake of her sanity, Amara Williams had to do it immediately. So, to speed up this recovery process, she thought it'd be best to move to New York for college. Miles away from her home, and family in Toronto.
In a way, she was successful. She got a change of environment, and made it to her final year of university without any worries... well unless you count the sleepless nights, the flashbacks, and the sudden need to push everything away.
But then when she has to work on a pysch project that hits a bit too close to home with the campus' infamous player who oddly seems to contrast her so well, the opened wounds from the past suddenly heal a lot faster than before.
Grayson Woods. Captain of the soccer team. D1 athlete. Known womanizer. More scars than he has tattoos. He's everything you know you should stay away from, but also can't.
They say everything happens for a reason. So you could guess that everything that happened to Amara and Grayson was so that they could find each other.
Or was it so that they could learn from losing each other?
Because it seems like life doesn't always work out the way we want it to.

He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past.
