Mature
Waking up with absolutely no memory of, well, anything would leave most people rattled and likely more than a little confused. When a stranger finds himself covered in dust in the middle of Death Valley in this exact situation, he too feels lost. Having a vision of two strangers' deaths that comes true shortly after doesn't help.

Violent visions of bloodshed continue to haunt him as he navigates unfamiliar terrain, but instead of leaving him a nervous wreck, these gory images fill him with a chilling sense of familiarity and purpose. Still, he intervenes and tries to save those around him, even if that means becoming the target of local law enforcement himself.

A kind stranger offers to help, but fearing for her safety around him, he must find his purpose before it's too late.

"The Haunting of Dawn Valley Asylum" is set in the once-peaceful town of Fairston, which used to be a church in the late 1800s before being converted into an asylum for individuals who had gone insane and exhibited violent tendencies. The story takes a sinister turn when a riot erupts within the asylum, instigated by the patients, leading to the death of the owner and the escape of a patient named Dawn. Rumors quickly spread that Dawn might be possessed by a demon, given the brutal nature of her escape. As a result of the chaos within the asylum, it is eventually shut down, but this is just the beginning of the horrors that will unfold in Fairston. The town becomes overrun with malevolent spirits, unleashed from a portal to Hell that was opened within many years later. Sheriff Saxton Lake becomes an unwilling witness to the supernatural horrors that have been unleashed upon Fairston. As the town descends into darkness, an even greater and more terrifying entity emerges, one that surpasses both God and the Devil in power. This entity, known only as "Darkness," seeks to conquer the earthly realm, and its presence plunges Fairston into eternal night. Anyone who dares to enter the asylum or comes into contact with the malevolent entity is forever changed. Their deepest fears and nightmares are brought to life, driving them to madness. Darkness leaves its mark on the town, with gruesome displays meant to terrify and torment the residents. As Fairston's residents struggle to survive in a world where darkness reigns supreme, they must confront their deepest fears and darkest desires. The story explores themes of fear, madness, and the struggle for survival in the face of unimaginable evil.

Annie Bloom is an average girl. She's in college, has a best friend, works, and studies. Yet one day she finds herself attacked, hospitalized, and nearly killed. Her best friend, Will, is certain it has to do with the guy she just started dating. Is Will jealous? Could her new boyfriend be involved? Or is it someone else entirely? Annie must find out quickly because every day could be her last. *** I could feel nothing but the pain. I felt every hit in excruciating detail with each erratic, painful heartbeat as my world became reduced to a series of agony. I struggled to breath through the broken ribs that constricted my airflow like a two-ton concrete slab had fallen on me. The blood from the blows to my head rolled down my face in waves. My arm was twisted at an impossible angle, yet I couldn't scream because my mouth would not open. I could feel the kicks coming at me from all directions, and as I received another one to the head I knew this was the end for me and my heartbeat slowed. The stab wound was bleeding too much for me to survive. When they left me for dead my eyes began to droop and the last thing I saw through fuzzy tunnel-like sight was a man running towards me before one final rattling breath coursed through my broken body and my heart stopped beating.
