The Town Tragedy. That's how the "good and nice" people of Mystic Falls refer to Belladonna Gilbert. She knows why, of course. Between getting kidnapped with her best friend which ended in her friend's murder and the awful car accident that killed her adoptive parents that Bella miraculously survived, her life was pretty tragic. 

She was resented by her sister Elena, avoided by the town as if she had a plague, and completely pulled into herself until the Salvatores came into town. Elenor Salvatore, twin sister to Stefan, had forced Bella's friendship and as much as she loathes admitting it, Bella wouldn't give Ellie up for the world. Even if her arrival brought an onslaught of supernaturals.

Now, forced into a world that she doesn't truly understand, Belladonna finds herself learning more about herself and her birth parents. Add a murderous hybrid, an evil dopplegänger, and an original vampire who single-handedly keeps the suit industry going, her life has become a recipe for disaster. Does tragedy really follow her wherever she walks or is there something behind the tragedies of her past, something to do with the circumstances of her birth?

(Currently being rewritten) There was nothing more frustrating than being the best friend of the one of only Damon Salvatore. Finley Maddox had the sometimes-unfortunate role of being said best friend. She and Damon had been best friends since he and his brother were human. Things, however, don't always last long. Fin felt awful for leaving when she did but had done it with the right intentions. She knew it needed to be done, if not for the possibility of the town questioning her inability to age, then for knowing that she couldn't allow herself to get attached. Knowing she had to go eventually before people got suspicious, later finding out her best friend and his brother had been turned in vampires by the one and only Katherine Pierce 90% of the time, things were somewhat normal and for the two, even normal was bizarre. But Fin managed to keep her wits intact while also protecting one of the few she actually cared about. Things got harder when Damon and his brother Stefan moved back to Mystic Falls; Stefan wanting to have a bit of normality in his life and Damon, in search of who he thought to be the woman he loved. Safe to say, that although Fin stayed where she lived while Damon went to Mystic Falls, it wasn't long before Damon called her and asked for her to come help him.

But the leaving didn't go to plan, as she said goodbye to the one she loved most he betrayed her, threatening her life. Just when she thought the life she planned with her brothers was over, a certain someone came into the scene. Everyone knows the story about the Mikaelson family, how they came to Mystic Falls and ruined the lives of everyone there. No one talked about why everything happened, no one talked about how it all could have been avoided easily, no one talked about it because every story needs a villain and the Mikaelson's were fine with playing the villain. If you're a villain then it meant people wouldn't dare to go against you in fear of dying, being a villain meant being feared. When the rumors of Niklaus and Matthias Mikaelson having children began to circulate throughout the supernatural world, there was no denying that it scared people. The Mikaelson's were already at the top of the food chain, they were superior in every way possible, so having kids just meant that there would be more. It scared people. It scared them because no one wants to talk about how Niklaus is finally happy, how Matthias is finally at peace in his life with minimum stress, or how the rest of the Mikaelson's had found their own place in the world. Instead, people wanted to talk about how they didn't deserve that piece of happiness they found, they wanted to talk about all the bad things done and refused to see that what they were doing now was nothing but live their lives. Because being a part of the Mikaelson bloodline meant you were evil.
