After her first camp was overrun, Grace Sheppard, her brother, and a few other survivors fled to a neighboring settlement. If anything, she was relieved that they could relocate to such a large community, one that was happy to house them.

It had been a year since the apocalypse had begun, and society was slowly being rebuilt. Walls were erected, people were trained, and the "others" were kept at bay. A semblance of peace had been established, and everyone began to move towards the future.

What she didn't expect, however, was to meet someone from her past. A personal ally, but an enemy to the world.

But it wasn't him she needed to worry about.
