"If you tell Chase about this I will ruin you. You've seen what I can do," I barked, snatching him by the heavy gold chain he wore. It was the only thing I could've snatched him by.. "And trust me. I'd get creative for you."
"This was equally your fault. Don't you dare try to put it all on me and threaten me," he scoffed, lightly shoving me off of him. "Your little mean girl thing doesn't work on me, Sabrina."
My anger fumed. It's like I could feel the flames of the fire rising on my skull. "You took advantage of me."
"I didn't take advantage of you we are both drunk!" he shouted, "You could have easily taken advantage of me too--"
"So you admit it? You're like 18 and I'm 16, how do you think that looks?"
He paused for a second. His heavy, exhausted breathing so loud I could hear it over the thumping party music. I watched his toned chest rise and fall, mocking me because just moments ago I had found that same chest so attractive. Now I just want to stab that broken beer bottle into it.
"Look," I lowered my voice, suddenly becoming aware of the thin walls and possibility of someone overhearing us-- not that the couldn't have heard us doing other things before... "I'm just saying that we shouldn't talk about this. Don't tell a single soul this happened. I can't have this ruining everything," tears started building up, "and you know my reputation is too important to let that happen. Everything would be ruined."
Somehow, in the midst of all of this, knowing him and I had a secret that kept us together comforted me. It was exactly what I needed.
