Koneko Tsukino is a very special person. She's cursed with the spirit of the cat from the Vietnamese zodiac, unlike the Chinese zodiac the cat does is part of it. The Tsukino family has been curse for ages, they have all have their  hopes in Koneko because the legend says that cat is the only one who can break the curse. But then she runs away from home and finds a family with the same kind of curse, The Sohma family.
