Jeong Tae-eul doesn't hate people. But it's easier to pretend she does. Abandoned as a child and adopted into a new family, Tae-eul has always kept people at arm's length. That is until her sister, Hayden, drags her into the "I Hate People Club," a university support group for the broken-hearted and disillusioned. The "I Hate People Club" was supposed to be her safe haven-a place to bury her fears, hide from her past, and steer clear of connections. But university is a strange place, and the club soon brings a cast of complicated, damaged people into Tae-eul's life, including Sebastian, the infuriatingly charming boy who seems to see right through her. As walls come down and secrets creep in, Tae-eul is forced to confront the very things she's been running from. But with each truth revealed, she wonders: how much of herself can she share before everything falls apart? When your past is built on heartbreak, can you ever really let anyone in?

Aurelia doesn't do "open." Not with feelings, not with people, and definitely not with the boy who's made a habit of getting under her skin. But when she and Jaxon are thrown together one too many times, what starts as bickering slowly turns into something else - something that feels dangerously close to understanding. As their walls start to crumble, Aurelia begins to see that the hardest person to be honest with isn't him - it's herself. But when family and fate collide, the line between what feels right and what is right starts to blur, and Aurelia is forced to choose between protecting the people she loves and facing the truth she never saw coming.
