When Korra was found as the new Avatar, The White Lotus was tasked with protecting her. However, they recruited help from an ally, one who provided a person to grow alongside the new Avatar as her protector.
This guardian shinobi is Wolf, a non bender, trained specifically to defend the Avatar until his dying breath.

Ever since Raava was ripped out of her, and her connection with the past avatars was lost, Korra always had a tiny doubt there wouldn't be another Avatar. Fortunately, it just took the White Lotus a while to find her. Luna is an unsure Earthbender from a place nearly no one has heard of. But, she is the only one who can even begin to understand and defeat this new threat to the world. But even with her friends helping her, will she even be able to defeat them once and for all?
