"Owlbears are some of the most ferocious creatures ever seen in the Forgotten Realms. Anything or anyone unlucky to come across them is liable to be torn apart by these territorial, oversized and aggressively temperamental monstrosities. Avoid at all costs. An area frequented by Owlbear activity should be evacuated of all civilians until hunters can be summoned who are strong, brave, and foolish enough to attempt to take on such a beast. Equal efforts should also be attempted to placate or discover the reasoning behind any rampages; most often they are due to infringement on the Owlbear's claimed territory.

Further information or study done of this species, or their lesser known and much larger offshoot, known as Royal Owlbears, is limited due to the high mortality rate of researchers, scholars and wilderness enthusiasts, caused by these creatures in their natural habitat.

Under no circumstances should any underqualified person approach or intentionally draw near an Owlbear, lest they rouse their wrath. Their species possesses long memories and have been known to carry grudges, often enacting them with brutal consequences and massive collateral damage. They are most dangerous during the time of Blood Heat, when these already violent and bloodthirsty animals reach new heights of savagery. Caution is strongly advised."

Fiona is a Beastfolk druid fleeing her abusive master in hopes to reach the border with the Northern lands, where she could find a mage to free her of her slave seal, which gives her owner full control over her life and death. In the woods she's attacked by bandits - and saved by a bear. She's quite sure that her magic wouldn't have been powerful enough to establish such a strong bond with a wild animal - and doesn't the bear seem a tad too intelligent? In a far, far away land of Nottoofar... ~ a former berserker knight meets a spacy druid... {Book 1: Leaf & Paw} ~COMPLETE! ~ a necromancer rogue is determined to resist her feelings for her former paramour, despite his delicious Half-Orc physique... {Book 2: Dagger & Fist} ~COMPLETE! ~ a teacher of defence magic can't believe what has become of her former Buggbear pupil - and how hard it seems to convince herself to refuse his advances... {Book 3: Ring & Shield} ~COMING SOON! ~ a duke is stuck in a cave with a dragonkeeper who is harbouring a secret... {Series Prequel: Venom & Sword} ~COMING SOON! ~ a merperson needs the assistance of a kicka*** sea captain who isn't going to fall for the tailed man under any circumstances... {Book 4: Cutlass & Song} ~Final story in the series! Castle Rock. A formidable laboratory housing monsters, unwilling subjects and other supernatural entities stationed deep beneath the ice of a tundra in an unknown region of a fragmented world. The place of nightmares that very few know of, the place of cruel and inhumane tests conducted on the innocent. Castle Rock at [DATA EXPUNGED], has experienced a site-wide destabilization due to the intense polar storm that currently is decimating the tundra. These storms are known to be dangerous for a plethora of reasons throughout the world. The Facility and all of it's holding cells & security stations deactivated and disabled due to the storm. Releasing everything without supervision. Hence, this phenomenon being called "Destabilization". Now, Monsters and deviants alike set free to roam. Some take matters into their own hands to escape. (Y/N) is a subject within the bowels of the facility, among the few who have the will to survive. Though, with little knowledge of their own past and current situation, (Y/N) finds some friends along the way. All hoping to find an escape. This story is a little gay, just a little. Hope you enjoy reading, give me any and all feedback The story will randomly transition between reader POV and (Y/N) POV at times. It's subtle, so pay attention. [Sometimes scenes will say "We did (something) and other times [You did (something). It's all the same. Just different POVs Melee killing is violent and gory on purpose. A MODERN MEDIEVAL FANTASY #3 in Fantasy |Book 1 of the Fifth Daughter Trilogy| When darkness arises and the world of Fantasy is in danger of being destroyed, the Dragon Riders are the first to show up. Fire and fang, sword and shaft, meet the enemy head on and the wars don't end until the enemy is disbanded. It's not a pretty business, but it must be done to secure the lives of every creature within Fantasy. There are two Rider schools - over thousands of Riders and dragons - and Smoke Green is one of them, no matter how much she dislikes the idea and the heights. Her fate has been chosen, even if she doesn't want it. With a vacant father, a mother who has too many secrets, four older sisters, an older brother, and a three minute older, annoying twin brother, Smoke isn't expected to be much more than a hometown girl of Folklore; who will get a boring desk job and never leave home. But then the Sage of the Burrows proclaims her a Dragon Rider and a Fifth Daughter and Smoke's life changes stories - literally. Moving from Folklore to Legend, Smoke is taught that fears can be conquered and villains do have a hunger for power. She also learns she might just have the power this villain is after. She makes friends: Something she didn't know she could do, she finds her dragon: Someone she didn't know even existed, and she learns her past: Something she didn't know was so complicated. But when rebellions begin to break out across the globe; the world of Fantasy is once again put in danger and the Dragon Riders might not be able to save their home this time around. Especially, when the enemy is from one of their own royal families; once thought incinerated, and his accomplice might just be Smoke's long thought dead father. In this first book of the Fifth Daughter Trilogy, J.J. wants you to forget everything you think you know of mythology and open your mind to a new kind of fantasy. "I know I'm a monster, but even I have my limits!" I shout at him. He shouldn't have done that. "Wait, please, I- , let me explain. I'm sorry-" "I should've known." I say quietly as I turn around and leave him there. I will never trust him again. Not after this. She wanted to be left alone. He wanted to find his mate. She didn't know about his kind. He didn't know about her past. She was a human. He was a wolf. Will he win her over? Will she accept him? Will they be happy? Or will someone try to ruin them?
