Turning my face to him, I encouraged myself; one word would clean this mess I was in.
"I can't do this anymore, Tiresinmi. It is not right. And I..."
"You're joking, right?" He chuckled.
"I am not joking. We need to end this."
"Why the change of mind? Hadassah, I left everything so that we can remain together."
"You haven't. I don't know why, but I have this guilt eating up my entire system. I am failing..."
"This is about your father?"
"No, it is not," I lied.
Tiresinmi didn't believe me; however, I couldn't admit that Dad was part of my change of mind.
"You are lying."
"Stop Tire, I can't deal with this anymore. I don't even know what I have become. This is not what I wanted for myself, Tiresinmi. What we share is a dream, not an ordinary dream but a nightmare. Goodbye."
