After having worked with top European chefs, Sofia MacLean returned home to open her own bakery, Siùcar Fine Sweets. Between providing sweets for so many events and the store, everything was going according to plan and soon she could think about her franchise chain of confectioneries with only local products. Not even encounters with the unpleasantly handsome best man in her sister wedding Gabriel bothered her. Until numerous poisonings start appearing among the guests at the events and put everything she had built at risk.

Having succeeded so young, Gabriel Lanvini simply made it his goal to enjoy life to the fullest while he could, as he always knew his time would come sooner, just as it did for his mother. When he met the angry young pastry chef Sofia at his best friend's engagement dinner, he believed the inconvenience would be nothing more than a drink spilled on his shirt.

Among all the desserts and drama, Sofia must quickly figure out what is going on with her sweets before she loses her image, her bakery, and her dreams.
