Now he's dead.
Ember has no idea where to go now. It was his money and unlikely friendship that kept her going, and without him she suddenly feels worthless. That is until she finds out that Matthew will continue to keep a roof over her head by handing her Windchime Manor, a stunning, abandoned mansion sitting alone in the countryside.
Ember knows this is the change she was longing for.
