Sarah McFarland has been living on her own ever since the tragic death of her father due to an unknown disease. However, before she had gotten the chance to settle with some distant relatives across-state, a mutant variant of Rabies breaks out. This caused people to turn into the undead, eating each other for temporary satisfaction and inhumane survival. Sarah is forced into a state of survival, living by herself for a full year. However, when she attempts to go to a local market for food, she is attacked by zombies. She runs away fast enough, but encounters a situation she hasn't been near in a very long time... other people.
