Justice For The Fallen ✓ by axgirl13

Unjustly accused of murder, the Demon of Wrath joins forces with the Archangel of Justice to find the true culprit. ____ Sannarah lives from one deadline to the next. As a Wrath Demon, she is obliged to provide a certain number of human souls to the Fallen God every month so she can stay in the Human Realm. If she fails to do so, she'll be sent straight back to Hell. And it's not a nice place, even for demons. One day she follows the shady tip-off and finds herself in the middle of a gruesome crime scene as the main suspect. The lead investigator Melkyal, an Archangel of Justice, gives her a choice: she can help him find an actual perpetrator and get a clean slate, or refuse and spend a few weeks in jail for petty crimes. With looming deadlines, she can't afford to waste time. But teaming up with an angel can't be a good idea. Even though he seems reasonable and focused on finding the truth, he's still a mortal enemy. Sannarah has an opportunity to topple the unjust order plaguing her whole life, but the chances of success are slim, and the consequences of failure are unfathomable. Melkyal must choose between blind obedience to his god and trusting his own judgment. Thousands of centuries ago humans, vampires, and werewolves lived together in harmony, considering one equal to the other. Ruled by a council of three kings, with one from each fullblood race, peace endured for quite some time. All of it was destroyed when many years later the new vampire and werewolf kings both wanted to rule over the kingdom alone. A massive war broke out between the vampires and the werewolves and millions of lives were lost. In a last attempt to stop the war one hundred years later, the land was divided into three kingdoms, the vampires, humans and werewolves. The borders were shut, crossbreeding was forbidden since it created halfbloods and demons and each kingdom was led by the king of their respective race. In secret, however, it was decided that the human king would watch over them all to prevent another war from ever happening again. Since the human kingdom laid inbetween the other two, the humans invented technology to keep all the races at bay and trained the warriors of their army as skilled hunters. As time and generations went by, the kingdoms became more isolated and the common humans forgot that supernatural beings even existed. However, the war had never truly been resolved so the hatred that the vampires and werewolves had for each other endured. When a mysterious murder occurs, chaos breaks out within the kingdoms. A throne must be taken, blood must be shed, a choice must be made and all must be answered by a girl with purple eyes.
