Regulus Arcturus Black didn't like most things.

In fact, he rarely had an opinion on anything at all.

I might've been a result of his upbringing. The horrific consequence of a childhood where one was never heard. Not because they chose to be silent...but because they had no voice.

James Potter liked most things...loved them actually. Sunday mornings, broom polish, treacle tart, James' love knew no bounds. Endless and unwavering.

His voice was always heard, loud and clear, a true born leader, nurtured from the second his first cry sounded in the world.

Nature vs Nurture.

A long standing debate.

Which one will prevail?

James Potter and Regulus Black.

A destined tragedy.

The Day the Music Died | Jegulus, Wolfstar

34 parts Complete

"You look like a painting, Reg," whispered James, genuine adoration plastered in every inch of his face. "Is that a good thing?" Regulus knitted his eyebrows together, a subtle smile curling his lips. "Definitely." A romance hidden under the horrors of the war, where kids fought with more pride than adults, where they didn't lose faith even when everything seemed lost. This story takes place in Hogwarts' 7th year. Regulus is Sirius' younger brother, exactly one year behind them, James couldn't expect that an innocent talk in the astronomy tower would lead to fall for him hopelessly, and neither did the young Black. But love doesn't stop time, nor does it save people. It's like a beautiful scarlet rose, as its petals fall, it dies. When that letter found its way to my hands, the music died.
