Politerius is an island that began as a thought experiment. The family unit is abolished--no more parenthood. All newborns are bred in the Life Container as Embryos, scientifically selected and nourished. This is a land where the human will is free, free from the chains of families and secular expectations. Every embryo exists for a reason, exists to strive for self-development. The founders of Politerius--the Triumvirate, govern the island alongside with the Gardeners, the Senators and the Stratēgos in a Roman fashion. The discovery of a new element: crementium, which alters the growth of an embryo completely, threatens to divide Politerius under the shadows.
Forces moved underground. Groups of citizens envisioned different futures for Politerius while news reached the Continent. Political turmoils entrenched in moral arguments boiled, while secrets, plots, diplomacy and espionage flourished-- all leading to a possible revolution, shifting the balance of power.
