When the most famous King Pin in the South suddenly disappears without a notice, his family is stuck with learning how to provide for themselves; and the ones he raised as if they were his own are forced to find their place in their now 'broken world'.

Tayalyn is a 19 year old woman, spoiled and taught by her God - set Father, Flare. Her Dad never showed up to love her the way she was supposed to be loved, all while her Mother has a new man in the house ever two months that she is inlove with. Graduating High School a few months ago Tayalyn is planning on attending a community college not to far from her house, but when her Flare disappears she is left with an empty feeling in her chest longing for answers she's desperate to find. With no one to keep close to her, she feels alone in this big would and could go crazy any second...

Mateo AKA Santiago is a 23 year old in the shadows of Flare, the notorious King Pin, never wanting to jump ahead of his time or take Flares spot Santiago did what he has to do to keep things running smoothly all while creating his own. In the words of Flare, "He keep things the way its pos' to be." With the disappearance of Flare and the chilling conversation they had right before he disappeared, Santiago was left trying to connect the dots, and figuring out what everything meant. With his mind in circles trying to figure out his next move, everyone looked up to him for answers and to keep the drugs flowing through the city, he sometimes feels like the weight on his shoulders is a bit much. He had never bothered to watch Flares hands in the game, he'd never studied him so everything in Flares operation was brand new to him. With no one to turn to he is forced to run it the only way he knows how .. but with an empty chest..
